As the fast majority of Houstonians obtain their primary and secondary education through public institutions, those institutions must provide a robust education for the future, productive citizens of Houston.
Duty & Obligation
HBEC believes it is the duty and obligation of business and civic leaders to hold public education institutions to task in order to ensure that a quality product is being delivered and if it is not, identify the changes that should be made.
Identification of Candidates
HBEC’s primary strategy for change is through the identification of candidates most likely to affect change toward stated reform goals, vetting those candidates, and support of those candidate in pursuit of school board positions.
